I have been shooting boudoir for almost 5 years now, and looking back I am really proud of how the business has grown and my style and direction has matured.
My first paid shoot was on 2nd October 2012 to be precise. I have been lucky that over the years many of my clients have become very good friends. This is certainly the case for my very first lady – Miss P. She has allowed me to share a few of her images of her shoots here.
I first started shooting in my back bedroom. While this was a great commute, it had its downsides so in June 2013 I moved into The Studio in Kings Lynn.
Looking back I can see all the posing mistakes I made, not to mention the heavy handed photoshop and sepia toning.
Today I like to bring more emotion to my shoots. Passion, joy, love and attitude are there for me to guide my ladies through. We always start with self reflection and vulnerability. By the time they leave The boudoir my aim is for them to have found their inner diva!
Looking back I cant believe how things have changed. I am so grateful for the ladies who let me shoot them in the early years. Several of you have come back for more shoots and that makes me very happy.
Here’s to the next 5 years – whatever they may bring. I am working hard setting up the portrait side of the business. As for Miss P ……… may be 2017?
